Synopsis:
The movie started out with 4 Pevensie siblings in direct danger from falling bombs during a war. The children were sent to the country home of the proffesor. One day, while they were playing hide and seek, Lucy discovers a wardrobe and enters the world of Narnia. Lucy then meets Mr. Tumnus and gets along with him, then ends up spending a few hours in his home. Mr. Tumnus eventually confessed that Jadis, The White Witch cursed Narnia, ordered that if a human is ever encountered, he/she should be brought to her. However, Mr.Tumnus can't possibly kidnap Lucy because Lucy was like a blessing to him, so he ends up sending her home. When she returns home, time has not passed by at all and when the other Pevensie siblings check the Wardrobe, the portal to Narnia was gone. A few days later, Edmund follows Lucy into the wardrobe, and this is where the problem starts. Edmund ends up giving into temptation by the White Witch in a form of Turkish Delight, as well as the propect of becoming King, but only if he brings his brother and sisters to her castle. After the White Witch went away, Lucy finds Edmund and they return to tell the others. But Edmund denies the existence of Narnia hurting the feelings of Lucy, saying that he was just "playing along".On another day, while running away from the housekeeper in the wardrobe after breaking a window, the four siblings enter Narnia. Susan and Peter then apologizes to Lucy, but Edmund didn't exactly apologize and Peter ended up having to force Edmund to apologizing. They discover Mr. Tumnus has been taken by the Witch's Secret Police and meet talking beavers who tell them about Aslan. According to the beavers, Aslan is on the move to take control of Narnia from the White Witch. The four must help Aslan and his followers; it has been prophesied that when two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve sit in the four thrones, the Witch's reign will end. But Edmund sneaks off to visit the Witch alone, but he ends up getting imprisoned and that is when Edmund realizes the gravity of his mistakes. On their way to the Stone Table, they see someone chasing after them, but it ended up being Santa Claus, a sign that the Witch's reign is slowly coming to an end. Santa Claus then bestows upon them gifts. Pursued by wolves led by Maugrim, the group manages to safely cross a thawing river, leaving the Witch no way to reach them. The witch and Edmund arrive at the river bank, where she turns the fox into stone. When Endmund tries to stop her, she slaps him across the face. At this point, Edmund's changing is clearly being seen, and that it is in fact a change for the good. Later, two wolves ambush Lucy and Susan while they are frolicking by the river. When Peter intervenes, Maugrim attacks him, and Peter kills him with his sword. Some of Aslan's troops follow the other wolf back to the witch's camp and rescue Edmund. The White Witch arrives at Aslan's camp and after a meeting the Witch tries to kill Edmund at the Stone Table but Aslan takes the sacrifice instead. That night Susan and Lucy notice Aslan leaving the encampment. After walking with him for a while he tells the sisters to return to camp, for they cannot go with him. As they watch, Aslan approaches the Stone Table where he is killed by the White Witch. However, in the morning he is resurrected because "there is a magic deeper still the Witch does not know." Aslan takes Susan and Lucy to the Witch's castle where he frees the prisoners of the White Witch, including Mr. Tumnus, forming an army for battle.Peter's army begins to lose, and Edmund is injured, though he has managed to destroy the White Witch's staff, her most effective weapon. That act of Edmund is truly admirable as he went from being a traitor to a person who risked his life to do what is in fact good. As she fights Peter, Aslan arrives with reinforcements and kills her. Lucy revives Edmund and many others with the fire-flower juice given to her by Father Christmas, while Aslan frees more victims of the White Witch's stone-turning spell. The Pevensies eventually become Kings and Queens. One day, they eventually returned home to England and became children once more.
Critique:
At the start of the story Narnia, we would consider Edmund as someone who was onlythinking about himself and was willing to sacrifice others for what he wants. He was blinded by material possession and was even willing to sacrifice his own brother and sisters for the power that the White Witch offered him. This shows that he has very little respect for others and he is blinded by conceit. We could therefore infer that in this part of the story, his judgement between right and wrong was not correct and everything that considered good had a negative effect to others. Despite him making bad choices at the beginning, he will soon see the errors in his ways and will end up fighting to correct the mistakes that he has committed.
After Prince Edmund was captured and tortured by the White Witch, he was very remorseful for his actions and the errors he has committed. Shortly after that, part of Aslan’s army then came to the rescue of Prince Edmund from the White Witch. When Edmund got back to the camp of Aslan’s army, he then confessed everything that he has done and expressed his heartfelt sorrow for all the treachery he has done. Although Edmund came to his senses and was now fighting for Narnia, Aslan had to die to save the life of Edmund. When the fight between the army of Aslan and the army of the White Witch was about to break loose, Aslan
resurrected just in time to help Narnia fight the war. Here we see a change of character in Edmund, from being selfish and greedy; he now became compassionate and loving towards his siblings and Narnia. It also showed here that Edmund was selfless because when the White Witch was about to kill Peter, Edmund surged forward destroying the powerful staff of the Witch. In exchange of the act of heroism, Edmund was left gasping for his life as the White Witch was
able to stab him. It was very evident in this part of the story that what he was doing is now morally right because he is now thinking of the wellbeing of others rather than his own. After the twist of faith that Edmund had in the latter part of the story, our group can now say that he has scored high in our evaluation sheet because even if he made mistakes in the beginning, the important point is that he was humble enough to accept his mistakes and reconcile for his foolishness. Therefore in this story, the main lesson that our group could point out is that despite people making wrong choices due to the negative values he or she believes in, there is still hope for change resulting to better and more moral choices by the person in the future.

Recommendation Letter:
In the movie, the whole conflict started when Edmund gave into the temptation of the White Witch, the self proclaimed "Queen of Narnia", that he has to bring his other siblings to her castle. But Edmund fails at trying to do so, and goes to the Witch's castle alone. He eventually receives the consequences for giving into the said temptation. But eventually, Edmund gets saved by some troops of Aslan, but of course, the White Witch would not just let it go. So, the White Witch asked for Edmund back to kill him because she had the rite to do so based on the Law of the Stone Table, but Aslan agreed to die in Edmund's place, and of course, the White Witch agreed to that proposal. *Aslan is represented by Jesus because he is the lion that gave his life for Edmund who is represented by us who Jesus died for to save us from our sins.*
Edmund is represented by the common people, a sinner. Just like the Rich young man, he was a person who was attached to material possesions, which is the Turkish Delight offered by the White Witch. But in the end, Edmund showed that he is capable of doing moral decisions, which is shown when he destroyed the staff of the White Witch even if he put his life in danger, a truly moral act. Edmund's example should be followed not because of the bad things that he has done like falling into temptation, but the fact that he changed. Edmund is an example of the common people's capacity to change and do the good.
